The CIBC 401 Bike Challenge in support of Sarah’s Fund is an extreme endurance ride over 3 days. A dedicated group of brave cyclists embark on a journey of 576km from Toronto to Montreal to raise money for children battling cancer and their families. The CIBC 401 Bike Challenge started by Gene Piccoli and his family, has grown an overwhelming amount in 8 years. Funds raised will go directly to the Montreal Children’s Hospital and its Best Care for Children Campaign and to perpetuate Sarah’s Floor at the new facilities at the Glen Yards site. A portion of the proceeds will also provide funding for the hematology/oncology division of the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. This family-run ride always provides riders with a great support system, as well as inspiration to push through this physically enduring endeavor.
The Splash and Dash is a fun-filled event presented by Johnson & Johnson. The Splash and Dash is a swimming and running relay where participants work together and compete against other teams. Proceeds go to Sarah’s Fund for the Hematology/Oncology division at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. This year’s event promises to be the most fun yet as it celebrates 11 years of health, wellness, and active living within the community. Proceeds from this exciting day of relays and activities among family and friends will support projects and programs funded by the Sarah’s Fund.
Always one of the most anticipated galas of the year, Kids for Kids is a fun way for the 20-40 crowd to give back to their community party-style. In 2010, Kids for Kids 18th Annual party has joined forces with the Sarah Cook Fund of the Cedars Cancer Foundation to raise much-needed funding for the pediatric oncology department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, while staying connected to its founding mission of supporting a local grassroots children’s charity in Montreal. With great food, music, and guests, the Kids for Kids gala never disappoints. This event always promises to be spectacular evening of dancing and entertainment, with over 800 partygoers in attendance.
